Graduate Learning Support Assistant
Location: Newham, East London

Are you an experienced and compassionate Graduate looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children? A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Newham is seeking a dedicated Graduate Learning Support Assistant to provide one-to-one support to students.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work closely with class teachers, the SENCo, and other support staff to deliver personalized learning experiences tailored to the needs of individual pupils. If you are passionate about inclusive education and have experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or other learning difficulties, we’d love to hear from you!

Position:

Graduate Learning Support Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide one-to-one support for students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
* Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCo to plan and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet individual needs and foster independence in pupils.
* Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to the assessment and review process.
* Create a nurturing and inclusive environment, promoting positive relationships and well-being.
* Support children in managing transitions and developing key skills.

Experience & Requirements:

* Prior experience supporting children in a primary school setting is essential.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with children with additional needs.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Recent Graduate seeking to gain classroom experience, with possible interest in being a Teacher in the future
