Maths Teaching Assistant – Barnet
Inspire. Support. Empower.

We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Maths Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Barnet. In this role, you’ll work closely with small groups of KS3 and KS4 students who need extra help to access and succeed in the Maths curriculum.

The Role:

* Deliver tailored maths support to small student groups in a structured, encouraging setting
* Work within the school’s inclusion unit to build students’ skills and confidence
* Support students in mainstream SEN classrooms as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
* Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
* Help students with behavioural challenges re-engage with their education

Why Join This School?

* Access to excellent CPD opportunities and specialist training – ideal for both experienced educators and ECTs
* Strong focus on staff well-being, including an Employee Assistance Programme, on-site gym, fitness classes, and regular social events
* Recognition for your contributions through appreciation awards and long service milestones
* A warm, supportive community where staff are valued and encouraged to grow

Who We’re Looking For:

* Someone with experience supporting numeracy, especially for students with additional needs
* A calm, adaptable, and empathetic approach to working with students facing behavioural challenges
* A genuine desire to help every student build confidence and achieve their potential

This is more than just a teaching assistant role—it’s a chance to make a real, lasting impact on young lives. If you’re ready to support, challenge, and uplift students who need it most, we’d love to hear from you.
