Academics is a trusted education and training agency working closely with secondary schools across Sheffield to fill both short and long-term vacancies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our team and support schools throughout Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a Science Teacher who wants to build experience, explore different school environments, or secure a role ahead of September. Positions are available for teaching all three sciences or focusing on your specialist area.

The Role:

As a Science Teacher, you will work within secondary schools in the Sheffield area. You’ll be delivering engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics — or concentrating on your specialist science subject. Whether you're seeking day-to-day work or a longer-term commitment, we offer flexibility to suit your career goals.

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Good understanding of the secondary science curriculum
* Strong classroom and behaviour management
* DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
* Genuine interest in education and training

Why Join Academics:

* Be supported by Matt, an experienced consultant with 17 years in teaching and school leadership
* Get rewarded for referrals — earn up to £125 for every teacher you recommend
* Join an agency highly regarded in Sheffield's education and training community

Now is a great time to secure a new Science Teacher role. We’d love to match you with a school that fits your teaching style and goals.
