Learning Support Assistant – SEN | Haywards Heath
We’re seeking a caring and committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive SEN school in Haywards Heath. This is a fantastic opportunity to help children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) reach their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Support students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SLD, PMLD, and communication difficulties.
*
Assist teachers in delivering personalised lessons and adapting resources.
*
Provide 1:1 or small group support to boost engagement and progress.
*
Help develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) alongside the SENCO.
Requirements:
*
Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
*
Knowledge of SEND strategies, such as differentiation, behaviour management, or communication tools like PECS/Makaton.
*
A patient, proactive, and compassionate approach.
*
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
