Salary: £460–£500 per week

Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term | Monday–Friday, 08:30–15:30

A fantastic SEN school in Bedford is looking for a compassionate and driven graduate to join their team as a School Mental Health Teaching Assistant. You’ll work closely with their clinical staff, supporting students with a range of needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges, ADHD, Down Syndrome, and Speech, Language & Communication Needs.

We are seeking a Psychology or Criminology graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in mental health while working in the education and training sector? This is your opportunity to make a real impact as a School Mental Health Teaching Assistant in Bedford.

Your Responsibilities:

* Provide tailored, 1:1 and small group support to students with complex mental health and behavioural needs
* Work collaboratively with the school’s clinical and SEN teams
* Gain meaningful, practical experience in a supportive educational setting
* Support students in developing emotional regulation, communication, and coping skills

Who We’re Looking For:

* A graduate in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field (experience with SEN is a plus)
* A genuine passion for mental health and working with vulnerable young people
* Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills
* Someone local to or able to commute to Bedford
