Are you a Criminology graduate or someone with experience in mental health and challenging behaviour? Are you looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need support the most?

We have a fantastic opportunity for you!

We are seeking a resilient, empathetic, and proactive PRU Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Pupil Referral Unit in Luton. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with students who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, many of whom face complex emotional and behavioural challenges.

Why become a PRU Teaching Assistant?

* This isn’t your typical classroom support role. It’s a chance to:
* Apply your understanding of behaviour, psychology, and trauma in a real-world setting.
* Support students with a history of disrupted education, many of whom are affected by mental health difficulties, adverse childhood experiences, or involvement with the youth justice system.
* Be part of a close-knit team in Luton working collaboratively to transform lives.

We’re Looking For:

* A graduate in Criminology, Psychology, or a related field — or someone with equivalent practical experience.
* Experience working with vulnerable individuals, especially those with mental health needs or behavioural challenges.
* Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and emotional intelligence.
* A calm, consistent presence and a genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential, even when the path is not straightforward.
* Ability to commute to Luton.

What We Offer:

* A supportive and trauma-informed environment with ongoing professional development in the education and training sector
* The chance to work closely with educational psychologists, behaviour specialists, and safeguarding professionals.
* Real impact — every day brings a new challenge and an opportunity to change a life.

If you’re motivated by social impact and ready to bring your skills into the education and training sector, this PRU Teaching Assistant position is the perfect opportunity for you!.

Apply for the PRU Teaching Assistant now to be part of a Luton team that sees potential where others see problems — and helps turn that potential into progress.
