Are you a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or SEN specialist seeking a meaningful new opportunity this September?
We’re currently recruiting for a full-time HLTA to join a friendly and inclusive special needs school in Hillingdon, starting in September 2025. Role Overview:
In this position, you’ll be leading both classroom sessions and targeted intervention groups across various age ranges, supported by a team of 5–6 committed Teaching Assistants. Working closely with teachers and the SENCO, you’ll help deliver an engaging and adapted curriculum designed to suit each pupil’s unique learning profile.
Main Duties:

Lead whole-class teaching and small-group learning sessions
*
Support students’ social, emotional, physical, and communication skills
*
Collaborate with therapists and other external professionals
*
Help pupils gain independence and prepare for life beyond school
What We’re Looking For:
*
HLTA qualification or relevant experience in SEN or primary education
*
Solid understanding of the UK National Curriculum
*
Experience supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs
*
A collaborative, enthusiastic approach and a passion for inclusive education
Location: Hillingdon, West London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, academic year (potential for permanent placement)
