About the Role:
As an UPKS2 Teacher in Chesterfield, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and structured lessons to Year 5 and 6 pupils, helping them excel in their crucial primary years. You’ll create a positive and motivating classroom environment while adapting your teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
This role offers flexibility, allowing you to choose between daily supply cover or longer-term assignments—ideal for teachers who value variety or prefer consistency.
Key Responsibilities of an UPKS2 Teacher:
* Delivering high-quality lessons to Year 5 & 6 pupils in Chesterfield.
* Providing targeted SATs preparation and academic support.
* Adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
* Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
* Collaborating with school staff to ensure continuity in learning.
Requirements of working as an UPKS2 Teacher:
* Proven experience teaching Upper KS2 (Year 5/6).
* Strong knowledge of the SATs curriculum and assessment criteria.
* Ability to engage and motivate pupils in their learning.
* Flexibility to work across different schools in Chesterfield.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
* Have or be willing to process an Enhaced DBS Certifcate.
