We are currently recruiting an additional classroom assistant for one of our mainstream primary schools based in North Leeds. This is a long term opportunity starting in September for at least 2 terms.
As a classroom assistant you will be required to support the teacher in KS1. You may be required to support a small group of pupils as well as offer 1to1 support to individual pupils when needed. Any SEND support experience would be beneficial
* The ideal classroom assistant will have experience of working with children with SEND, and understand the needs
* Candidates with experience working with children, SEND and/or the care industry will also be considered
* A can do attitude and a willingness to help in other areas of the classroom
* The ability to use initiative and work well under pressure
* The ability to communicate effectively with the children and other staff members
