A highly regarded and well-resourced Specialist PMLD School in Basildon is seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teacher to join their exceptional team. This is a full-time long-term position, available to start as soon as possible or from September 2025, depending on your availability.

Education and training
PERSON SPECIFICATION – SEN Teacher
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) is essential
* Experience teaching pupils with PMLD or complex needs preferred
* Confident using alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton, AAC)
* Patient, resilient, and genuinely passionate about SEN education
* Able to work collaboratively with LSAs, therapists, and families
* Open to ECTs with SEN placement experience and a genuine interest in PMLD
