SEN Teaching Assistant – Hackney

Salary: £85 - £100 per day

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

About the Role:
As an Aspiring Psychologist working in Hackney, you’ll work 1:1 and in small groups, supporting students with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and other additional needs. You’ll play a crucial role in helping pupils access learning, develop life skills, and build emotional resilience. Full education and training will be provided to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Support SEN pupils in class and during interventions in a Hackney school
Implement behaviour and learning strategies under the guidance of teachers and SENCO
Provide emotional regulation support and encourage independence
Collaborate with a dedicated team committed to inclusive education and training
Contribute to a nurturing, supportive environment for vulnerable learners
Requirements:
Genuine interest in psychology and special education
Desire to become an Aspiring Psychologist or pursue further study in educational or clinical psychology
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
Previous experience with SEN (formal or informal) is desirable
Right to work in the UK and DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
