Autism Support Worker – Chippenham

One of our lovely specialist schools based in Chippenham is looking for a friendly Autism Support Worker to join their team ASAP on a full-time basis. This school supports children aged 4-11 with Autism and other severe learning disabilities, and the staff here are dedicated to bringing out the best in all of their students. You can expect to work in a friendly and supportive environment with other like-minded individuals that strive to inclusivity and excellence.

Key information for an Autism Support Worker:

* ASAP start
* £85-100 per day (Dependent on experience)
* Based in Chippenham
* Full-time hours – 08:30-15:00 (Term-time only)

The role of Autism Support Worker is perfect for someone who:

* Has a friendly and bubbly personality
* Has a patient, calm and compassionate approach to working with children
* Has had previous experience working with children – desired but not essential
* Is dedicated to having a positive impact on children’s futures

* Has a minimum grade C/level 4 in Maths and English

Roles and responsibilities of an Autism Support Worker:

* Supervise and track the progress of students
* Provide a safe and supportive environment that fosters confidence in the children
* Assist with learning and development in the classroom
* Work on a 1 to 1 or group basis with children delivering specialized interventions that cater to their individual needs
* Assist in de-escalating any challenging behavior that may occur
