Psychology Graduate - Mental Health Support
A mental health school in Ascot is currently seeking a Mental Health Support Assistant to join their dedicated team.

About the role:
As a Mental Health Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with students who may present with anxiety, dysregulation, or behavioural challenges rooted in trauma. You will help them develop emotional regulation skills, re-engage with learning, and build confidence in their relationships and self-worth.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing 1:1 and small group emotional and academic support
* Helping students develop positive coping strategies and resilience
* Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation using trauma-informed practices
* Supporting students through personalised learning and wellbeing plans
The ideal Mental Health Support Assistant will:
* Have experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional needs, behavioural challenges, or mental health concerns
* Demonstrate empathy, patience, and emotional resilience
* Be proactive and flexible in responding to students’ individual needs
* Be committed to safeguarding and the wellbeing of all students
* Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate
