The Role:
As a Teacher of English, you will deliver engaging, thought-provoking lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Experience teaching Key Stage 5 is highly desirable and may offer further opportunities for growth. Our school in Newham is dedicated to academic excellence, student voice, and creative learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and teach dynamic English lessons that challenge, support, and inspire
* Develop students’ literacy, analytical skills, and passion for reading and writing
* Use assessment to track progress and inform effective teaching
* Contribute to a collaborative English department and whole-school initiatives
* Foster a classroom culture where all students feel confident and heard
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds QTS and a degree in English or a related field
* Is experienced or newly qualified (ECTs welcome) with a clear commitment to ongoing development
* Has strong subject knowledge and a desire to teach at all key stages, including KS5 where appropriate
* Demonstrates excellent classroom management, planning, and communication skills
